Welcome to Jazzed Up Cuisines (“Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website and catering services. By accessing our website or booking services, you agree to be bound by these Terms in accordance with the laws of the State of California.


1. Services

Jazzed Up Cuisines provides catering services, consultations, tastings, and pre-order meal platters in and around Sacramento, California. All services are subject to availability and confirmation.

2. Consultation Services

**Consultation Only (No Tasting)**
A one-hour consultation without tasting is available for a fee of $50. This fee is non-refundable and will not be applied to future services unless explicitly stated in writing.


3. Consultation with Tasting

Consultations that include a tasting are priced at $200 and must be paid in full in advance.
 
  • The consultation and tasting fee is non-refundable if the client does not proceed with catering services.
  •  If the client enters into a catering agreement, the tasting fee will be credited toward the final event total.
  • A 50% non-refundable deposit of the remaining event balance (total cost minus tasting fee) is required to secure the event date. Payment must be secured four (4) weeks prior to the event unless explicitly stated in writing.

**Tasting Details**
 
  • Tastings include up to four (4) curated dishes.
  • Each dish is served as a tasting-size portion.

4. Booking, Deposits, and Payments
 
  • Event dates are not reserved until a deposit is received.
  • Deposits are non-refundable but may be transferable at our sole discretion.
  • Final payment terms will be outlined in the individual catering agreement.
  • We reserve the right to cancel or decline services if payment terms are not met.

5. Attendance, Rescheduling, and No-Shows
 
  • Clients arriving more than fifteen (15) minutes late to a scheduled consultation or tasting will be considered a no-show. Fees and deposits will be forfeited.
  • One (1) reschedule is permitted without penalty, provided the new date occurs within six (6) months of the original booking subject to availability and confirmation.

6. Pre-Order Meal Platters – Pickup
 
  • Orders must be paid in full prior to pickup.
  • Orders must be picked up within fifteen (15) minutes of the scheduled pickup time.
  • Orders not picked up within this window will be considered abandoned.
  • No refunds, credits, or replacements will be issued for abandoned orders.

7. Pre-Order Meal Platters – Delivery
 
  • Delivery orders must be paid in full in advance.
  • The customer or designated recipient must be available within five (5) minutes of delivery arrival.
  • Notification will be provided via text message upon arrival or approach.
  • If no recipient is available, the order may be left at the delivery location, and proof of delivery (including photo documentation) may be recorded.
  • Once delivery is completed, the order is considered fulfilled. No refunds, credits, or replacements will be issued.

8. Cancellations and Refund Policy
 
  • All sales are final unless otherwise stated in writing.
  • Consultation and tasting fees are non-refundable.
  • Catering deposits are non-refundable.
  • Any exceptions must be documented in a written agreement signed by both parties.

This policy is disclosed in accordance with California consumer protection laws requiring clear notice of refund terms prior to purchase.

9. Dietary Restrictions and Allergies

Clients are solely responsible for notifying us of any food allergies, sensitivities, or dietary restrictions prior to service.

While we take reasonable precautions, we cannot guarantee that food will be free from allergens. To the fullest extent permitted by California law, we disclaim liability for allergic reactions where prior notice was not provided.


10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted under California law:
 
  • Jazzed Up Cuisines shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
  • Our total liability shall not exceed the total amount paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

    11. Force Majeure

    We are not responsible for failure or delay in performance due to events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, fires, power outages, government actions, or emergencies.

    12. Website Use

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where prohibited by law, including for gross negligence or willful misconduct.
  • Use the website for unlawful purposes
  • Attempt to interfere with website functionality
  • Submit false or misleading information
     
We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access for violations.

13. Privacy

Your use of our website is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and use personal information in compliance with California privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA).

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California. Any disputes shall be resolved in the appropriate courts located in or serving Sacramento County, California.

15. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any changes.
